Abstract: FDI plays a dominant role in the economy of Bangladesh through accelerating Gross Domestic Product (GDP), export and domestic investment followed by overall economic growth. So it is vital for a developing country like Bangladesh to carry out effective measures in protecting the prospective foreign investors so that they can get a congenial atmosphere to invest their capital. Investors are very sensitive to systematic risks since it is very difficult to oversee and control them. All components composing the Country Risk is a type of systematic risk and these may be determinant power on FDI inflow as crating uncertainties. Country Risk has a significant impact on Foreign Direct Investments. It is true that countries with lower Country Risk appear to attract more FDI inflows. Because of the Moderately High Country Risk FDI inflow decreased in recent past. That is a concern for Bangladesh economy because in spite of having potential resources still FDI inflow in Bangladesh is not remarkable.
